Flower Power?

I'm not very keen to hold a bouquet flowers when I get married. Instead I would like to carry the small bible that my late Gramndmother gave me.

I would, however, like some kind of flowers.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do?

(I don't want a corsage or a wrist corsage either)

Flower Power?
You can have the florist put some flowers onto the Bible. A lot of Bride's have done this. You won't be holding the Bible while you are saying your vows so it won't be in your way. Here are some pics:

Reply:How about choosing one flower mentioned in the Bible, and carry one of those? A lily of some sort would be good, as in Lilies of the field(which were actually a kind of anemone, to confuse matters), or have a look through for flowers. The Song of Solomon(Song of Songs) mentions some.

Oh, and if you get lilies, and you are wearing white or anything pale, wash the pollen off the stamens of the flower as it stains heavily. Or cut off the stamens altogether.

Have a great wedding day!
Reply:A single flower would be good and you make up for not having flowers in your hand by having lots more flowers in the church.

Good luck and enjoy your special day :-)
Reply:My sister carried a Bible when she got married as she gets hayfever with most flowers. She had a silk flower attached to the Bible. If you have flowers in the church, you dont really need to carry them as well. Or your bridesmaids could carry flowers. You could have some in your hair, or at your cleavage, or shoulder, or waist, or at the back of your dress.
Reply:a tiny bunch of forget-me-nots wrapped on your wrist would be touching
Reply:wear them on your head.

Great idea.
Reply:Its called a "Prayer Book Spray" unfortunately I cant find any pictures to link to, but here is the description

The Prayerbook Spray

The Prayerbook or Bible spray is a small spray of flowers is attached to a prayerbook or bible’s cover. A long-time favourite of devout brides especially Catholics, it's seen as a traditional choice, but the flower spray can be designed in a contemporary fashion.
Reply:Carry the bible that your grandmother gave you - but how about carrying a single flower with it.

What ever your favourite flower is - just carry one with Bible - simple and sweet
Reply:What about a bookmark in the bible, perhaps at the page where a passage is being read at your service? I am sure any florist could do this or there are plenty of book marks around you could choose. You could have one flower or some little flowers at the part that is outside the bible. Or little flowers could hang from the bookmark the way sometimes cord with a tassle does from a bookmark. Best wishes whatever you decide.
Reply:not an answer, but i like angelics answer with a single flower. also the bible as it obviously means a lot. good luck on the day
