OK need help on decorations please!!?

ok im doing a flower theme not flower power either


my colors are lilac and white and i know how i want the tables and eveything but i need stuff to hang up and ballons shaped like flowers but i havent found any


any thoughts on what to do??? thanks

Have you considered tulle and bows that have a beautiful silk flower at the center? That might look more like a wedding.
Reply:Sorry, but balloons shaped like flowers will just look like a little girl's birthday party, not a wedding.





When you say you need stuff to hang up, do you mean on the walls? What about hanging plants, tulle, white x-mas lights.
Reply:I changed my wedding completely but I was going to do hanging paper lanterns in the colors of my wedding and then do smaller ones that are lighted for evening atmosphere. You can buy them in different shapes too like the plain round ones or star shaped, square, etc.
Reply:Flower posters or pictures on the walls would look good and maybe silk flowers on colored vases, silk flowers hanging on the wall would look good as well.

These are fabulous and really easy! I am mixing them in with chinese paper lanterns.
Reply:Try all the local party stores. They can usually order balloons in any shape you want and in a variety of colors.
Reply:Skip the balloons. Especially flower shaped ones. That is just going to look cheap....there's a reason why you havn't found them.





Instead why not get some garland and use lilacs (silk or real) to embelish it then hang it around the site. You could also use some white and lilac tulle wrapped around white christmas lights to decorate.

I'm planning my wedding and doing a lot of unique things however after planning my wedding for over 1 year I found that balloons are more for B-day parties, bridal showers, and other non-wedding parties. I would suggest other decorations, if your theme is flowers, I would incorporate simple arrangements around your reception area guest book table, gift table... for the guest book table you should do a "pot of flowers made out of pens".... it's simple; buy some simple pens, floral tape, and your choice of silk flower (in your wedding colors) wrap the floral tape around the pen and as you get closer to covering the pen put your flower in and finish wrapping your pen all the way to the top, your flower should fit at the top. Buy a small flower pot and insert your pens there and your guest can use this to sign the book and it will also be a visual addition to your decor. Hope this helps.
