To run a mobile phone off solar power would require you to wear a sheet of solar collection cells on your head and you'd either be bumping into or cutting the people around you with it. . The phones chew up quite a bit of power when they transmit.

Reply:Solar power works for calculators, so why not mobile phones. It would also be possible to store the solar energy in a battery. Burning flowers to generate power would also release as much or pollution as burning oil, but you'd need a lot more flowers.
