I desperately need help with an assignment in my marketing class. I was assigned by my group to make a tv ad for our cereal that we made up. The cereal is targeted toward young girls and is called Flower Power. Does anyone have any good ideas of what I could do, or maybe a site that would give me some ideas or help me in any way?
Any Good Ideas?!?!?
A tv commercial is show and tell... create a story board.. it is a paper with a line down the middle.. on the left is camera direction on the right is the audio.. you can do it with just silent transistions.. write what you want the audience to see... paint a verbal picture.. for instance .. video..(left side) fade in a shot of a boquet of five flowers and each flower transistions from the flower to a girl.. time line shoud be ten seconds.. on the audio side.. write announcer.. flowers are the most beautiful plants on earth.. (five seconds) begin audio three seconds after video starts and end before the last transistion.. video.. show all the girls holding flowers and smiling...10 seconds.. audio.. flowers will wilt but flower girls can always stay beautiful with flower power.. video.. box of flower power sitting on the middle of the table.. five girls eating the cereal.. each takes a bite and transforms into the flower.. 6 seconds.. audio.. Girls.. get the health benefits from flower power and live a beautiful life.. video.. bring the box of creal front and full.. audio.. flower power.. what beauty is made from..
Reply:I hope it turns out well for you.. projects such as these are great teaching experiences.. always keep the audience in mind.. in advertising there is an old saying. If you want people to reach in their pocket book to buy your product, then you must get your product inside their mind. Report It
Reply:Whence speaking of how one should advertise to children, I concur with Jake G.
Anyway on to ideas.
One possible ticket to success in this occasion would be to have the cereal be organic and rather vividly colored. Also it could change the color of the milk to rose color or perhaps purple, and it could have the fragrance of a flower. However, if you are going to try to reach out to more people you could have it smell like vanilla for it art the most popular smell in the U.S.
P.S. if you have trouble with conceiving ideas in the future try going to a place which is very serene for you, or sometimes by feeling intense emotion, or really anything that works for you. For example, walking the dog works for me.
Reply:Each colored flower in the box of cereal offers a different nutritious element, such as a vitamin. For example, purple flowers contain vitamin A; yellow...C, etc.
Every ad needs a slogan, price, benefits--must persuade audience to purchase. Offer a money-back guarantee.
Reply:When targeting towards kids, you should stress two things, which seem to contradict each other at first.
1) Fun and care-free(ness)
2) (And this is esp important with products targeted toward women and girls now-a-days) is independence and empowerment.
Run through scenarios for the ad that involve things like the following: The girls making an independent decision (to eat the cereal), perhaps doing so without the need to ask for adults
-The fun they have eating it and how good it tastes
-That eating the cereal is something they take ownership over. They enjoy it together and it is "their thing".
Goodluck, hope I helped.
